Already in 1966 the first record of the curly-haired tenor from Washington D.C. promised a bright future.
Tim Buckley kept this promise - not in a comercial but in an artistic way. He developed from his folk beginnings to soul, prog, funk iand almost hermetical avant-garde that fast, that you could have get dizzy. Nine years after this album he was dead, the light was switched off. Now his debut album appears in a new shape, remastered, in mono and stereo and supplemented with a CD containing 22 unreleased songs which were created at the only session on 8th november 1965; to this time Buckley was 18 and his voice was affected by the shrillness of a teenager“s enthusiasm. But the glaze, the heart, the emphasis in ballads like "it happens every time": All these things are showing more than only potential; here you can discover the early genius!
