“NO SLEEP” THANKS TO TRASH PERCUSSION - OR: THANK YOU, BUBBLE BEATZ, YOU WHO BASH TRASH WITH STEEL POLES

Bubble Beatz show their skills with trash can drums on “No Sleep”. Premiere of the absolutely untrashy singing of Michael Holderbusch.

One foray through the attic, the garage and the garden house, and you can form your own trash percussion band, too. Whether you’ll be as successful as the Swiss act with the non-distinctive name “Bubble Beatz” remains to be seen.

bubble beatz - no sleepKay Rauber and Christian Gschwend are the masterminds of the Swiss duo that features instruments self-constructed from every conceivable object. Whether rain water barrel or oil drum, screwdriver or kitchen paraphernalia - everything reappears as a percussion instrument in the stage setup of the so-called “Trash Machine”. Each of the objects declared to be instruments are played with body and soul, accompanied by electronica.

The new album “No Sleep” will cause sleepless nights in your own four walls and at the same time it’s the first album released by the duo since their popular appearances in a talent show on a private German tv-station. For the first time vocals are heard on the trash tracks. The song “Waiting” was created by no other than Michael Holderbusch. Nevertheless: for friends of cultured string music it is not.

First impressions of the tracks and assistance for purchasing decisions can be found on the duo’s website (www.bubblebeatz.ch). Warning: turn down the volume before viewing - you don’t want to startle your children or your colleagues.
