A therapy can not run better: After founder member Sam Genders has left the folk band Tunng because of personal problems, he has become a basic school teacher for three years.
Remains to be seen, if it really was a currative process caused by bright childrens´eyes, but now Genders isn´t only starting his solo project, he even releases an album, that dwarfs any release by his ex-band. "Black Light" could have been a Tunng-album, if Genders wouldn´t have added electronic sounds to his compositions, which are reminding of bands like Metronomy or Hot Chip. But especially he has songs which were formed out of life´s situations. The title song describes the relations that bring old uncecurities back to life, during another song "Night All Night"celebrates this relations; and finally he cites out of books for self-help in "Appetite". Only his pupils may not be happy with that - but maybe one of the ex-band members will overtake the teacher´s job.
