“The Fall” from the Gorillaz available also in CD format since April 18th.
After its initial fanclub-online-only release last December, fans of the Gorillaz can finally hold the album in their hands on compact disc. Damon Albarn recorded the album in 32 days in several cities of the last Gorillaz tour in Fall 2010 on his iPad, preserving his own tour impressions and feelings. Autumn season – Fall.
“The Fall” is a musical road trip. One accompanies the Gorillaz on their journey, from Seattle to the forests of Aspen to the sunsets on California’s coasts. All a part of this highly experimental album. The Gorillazs don’t feature as many guest artists as in the past – the collaboration with Bobby Womack “Bobby in Phoenix” is all the more appreciated. Although the 15 pieces are quite minimalistic, it’s an intriguing album. Some of the songs even leave you wishing for more.
