U2 IN BERLIN

Secret video shoot in the streets of Berlin. No barricades, no security. It’s 4:15 p.m. Anna-Louisa-Karsch Street, near Friedrichsbrücke.

u2 bono edgeJust like ordinary pedestrians, Bono and his three band mates “The Edge” David Howell Evans, Larry Mullen Jr. And Adam Clayton casually strolled through the streets of Berlin on May 1st. The director asks passerbys to wait before crossing the bridge. A camera team stands waiting at the curb. The clapboard claps. 20 minutes later it’s a wrap - without music. The song itself and the video plot remain hidden. But there are rumors that it had something to do with their multi-Platinum-certified album “Achtung Baby”, a re-invention of U2’s sound and style that was recorded 20 years ago in Berlin.

Obviously relaxed, U2 ambled through the city after finishing the shooting, visited the Cathedral of Berlin and enjoyed the peace. But U2 fans didn’t miss out: autographs and photos were generously given.

It’s speculated that the result of the video shoot will be released at the end of this year – until then U2 are still on the U2360° Tour. So excited fans have no choice but to sit tight and wait.

But one thing is for sure: one should wander through the city – you never know who you might meet!
