The British singer Amy Winehouse and the US-American jazz legend Tony Bennett were in the recording studio.
They recorded a song together in the London Abbey Road Studios for the entertainer’s new album “Duets II”.
The track, which was kept a secret by both until now, will be the first release from Amy Winehouse since she contributed to a Quincy Jones album with the Leslie Gore title “It’s My Party”.
Bennett’s album should be on the market this Fall and in addition to the co-production with Winehouse will also offer guest appearances by Lady Gaga, Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson, K.D. Lang, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban und Faith Hill. The previous “Duets” album, released in 2006, featured appearances by Barbara Streisand, Paul McCartney, Celine Dion und Elton John. Bennett achieved worldwide celebrity status with titles like “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” and thanks to 17 Grammys can be counted as one of the most successful and popular artists of the USA.
Amy Winehouse herself let it be known that she needs more time on her third studio album. Since her debut album “Frank” in 2003 and the 2006 breakthrough with the album “Back To Black”, public attention unfortunately shifted to her health concerns.
We continue to hope for a speedy recovery and look forward to the third album of this exceptional singer.
