CÉLINE DION AND ELTON JOHN: VEGAS, BABY!

Céline Dion and Elton John are both Vegas-League – and are also good friends!

Their friendship has always been a cause for wonder. Céline for example, after spotting Elton John in the audience at one of her shows, began openly praising the man made Commander of the Order of the British Empire by the Queen. In 1998 he also received the honor of being designated Knight.

Las Vegas is the only playground still challenging the Superstars, headliners like the King - Elvis Presley, or the Tiger – Tom Jones all already stood in the spotlight of their own sold-out shows.

Elton John’s qualifications for Las Vegas are impressive: 570 million albums sold, and over 320 million singles. Céline sold ‘only’ 230 million albums and singles around the world– enough to make her the second-most successful pop singer in the world, after Madonna.

But Céline is much more than a successful pop singer, she’s mother to three sons. One of them, Rene-Charles, born in 2001, is certainly not a burden. The twins Eddy & Nelson, born in 2010, are now keeping the successful mother busy.

Celine was even more the happier when Elton offered to take over some of her concerts to allow her a somewhat belated maternity leave.

Elton John wouldn’t be Elton John if he didn’t have a special trump card: the piano manufacturer Yamaha tailor-made a piano just for him, completed after four years development.

The outcome is a Show that’ll be a “gargantuan feast of music and imagery”, promises Sir Elton.

And it’s named appropriately: THE MILLION DOLLAR PIANO.
